Cake Pop Stand

My best friend is getting married and I wanted to make cake pops for her bachelorette party. I looked online on how to build a cake pop stand and I couldn't find what I was looking for. My ideal craft is something that does not involve tools or sewing machines, also anything that requires straight cutting is out of the question. I set out to the craft store with a few ideas in mind and after some trial and error this what I came up with.

Here is what you will need:

2 floral foam bricks (7.75 x 2.5 x 3.5), roll of streamers or ribbon, one piece of
scrapbook paper, scissors, straight pins, a writing utensil and a razor blade (not pictured).

 1. Place paper face down and put two brick right next to each other. I used a glitter paper which is basically like sand paper. I drew a line so I knew where to make a crisp crease so the paper would wrap nicely around the bricks. Do this on both long ends.

 2. After you crease both sides pin the paper in place. Make sure the paper is a tad above the bottom so it sits evenly. Place pins ever 1.5-2 inches apart. Do this to both sides.

(This is what you should have)

 3. On the crease cut to the brick. Do this at all four corners.

 4. Fold down the pieces on the side.

 5. Fold the top over the flaps and pin all the way across. Do this for both sides

6. Pin the streamer or ribbon all the way around your stand. Your stand is now done! ALMOST!

7. Now use straight pins to map out how your pops will be placed.

7. Use a razor blade to cut small x's. This makes is easy to insert pops.

Viola!

** So I can make a cake pop stand but still have not conquered the cake pops themselves. Those were a bust. So I ended up just putting cupcakes on top of my stands. Maybe next time. :-)
